October Program: Gardening Gala at The Great Outdoors

This month we are trying something a little different. It is kind of a cross between our regular meeting format and a field trip. Our club has been invited to hold our meeting at the Great Outdoors by Owner Tom Tinguely and General Manager Merrideth Jiles. The Great Outdoors nursery is located at 2730 South Congress Avenue. We will have plant talks by experts out under the stars, nursery and greenhouse tours, fabulous plant raffles, excellent food and deep discount shopping! This adventure will start at 7:00 pm (not the usual 7:30 time). Parking is limited to about 40 cars, so carpooling is strongly encouraged.

Mark your calendar now for Thursday, October 28 at the Great Outdoors Garden Center at 2730 South Congress Avenue beginning at 7:00 pm. As usual, our meetings are open to the public, so feel free to invite your friends to attend. In the unlikely event of really bad weather (i.e. a pouring rainstorm) this meeting will be canceled because there is really no place out of the weather for everyone to gather. Besides, we wouldn’t want you to have to navigate a wet parking lot.
