The following events are of direct interest to the membership of The Garden Club of Austin. All events are at the Austin Area Garden Center in Zilker Botanical Garden at 2220 Barton Springs Road unless otherwise noted. Additional gardening calendar information may be found every Saturday in the Life and Arts Section of the Austin American Statesman.

November 8 Monday. TGCoA Board of Director’s meeting. 7:00 pm.

November 16 Tuesday. Third Tuesday Lunch Bunch. Meet about 11:15 am at Luby’s Cafeteria located at the southwest corner of Mopac and Steck Avenue. All members are invited to attend. There will be no Lunch Bunch meeting in December.

November 18 Thursday. Annual joint meeting of TGCoA with the Cactus and Succulent Society. See program announcement in this newsletter. We will also elect officers for 2011.

November 20 Saturday. Fern Team Workday. Meet at the fern bed for general maintenance from 9:30 to 11:30 am. All TGCoA members are invited to participate. There will be no Fern Team Workday in December.

December 9 Thursday. Annual TGCoA Awards Banquet. Save the date and plan to participate.
