President's Message

What a beautiful October we have had thus far; cool, almost chilly nights, and beautiful sun drenched but warm afternoons. What more could you want as winter approaches?

Last month’s meeting was very interesting and informative. Great job Fern Team members! Everyone enjoyed receiving the ferns as well as the other door prizes.

This month’s meeting (which will be held at The Great Outdoors) also promises to be outstanding. So make sure you are there on Thursday, October 28, 2010.

This year is flying by us very fast, and before we know it, it will be Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and then a New Year, 2011. Where did 2010 go?

On a sad note, we just received word that Steve Kimball passed away. He was currently in charge of the Judge’s Training Program for the Southwest Region of the Men’s Garden Clubs of America, our parent organization. Many of you will remember him and his wife Kathy judging at most of our club’s recent flower shows. Kathy is currently president of the Southwest Region.
