Last month we discussed the financial aspects of our newsletter. The fact is that if we distribute it electronically to everyone that has an active email address we could save the club about $1000 a year.
We envision the process as follows: When the newsletter is ready an email would be sent to all members that have an email address informing them that the newsletter is available and a link address will be given which gets them to the newsletter directly. The newsletter will be in color and on letter sized pages (i.e. 8 1/2 by 11) instead of the current legal sized pages (8 1/2 by 14). This will make it easy for those of you that want to print the newsletter. For those of you without computer access or with no email address a newsletter will be sent to you by US Mail.
We hope that there will not be many of you in this group since the smaller this group the more savings the club will have. This group will naturally receive their newsletter a few days after the email group. There is a reason it is called snail mail. We will keep you informed of our progress toward this goal. Right now it looks to be another couple of months away so if you have any serious concerns now is the time to let your Board of Directors and your editors hear about them.
