AAGC Christmas Trees

About a dozen garden clubs of the Austin Area Garden Council each decorated a four foot tall Christmas tree before the holidays. These were on display in the Greene Room of the Austin Area Garden Center during our Awards Banquet. Each was unique and usually related to the club’s activities. If you came to our December banquet you saw them. If you didn’t see them, put it on your calendar as a “must do” activity for next year.

Decorations for The Garden Club of Austin tree consisted of miniature terra cotta pots and seed packets provided by Laura Joseph and miniature watering cans provided by Christine Taylor. Doughnut seeds were provided by Ron Miller. Barbara and Norman Wagner put the lights on the tree as well as the decorations, thus transforming the tree into a sight to behold. I’m sure it was appreciated by many hundreds of visitors to the Garden Center during the Holiday Season. This pleasant task has been turned over to Christie Rodgers for next year. (Editor)
