December Meeting - Awards Banquet

Just as we did last year, the annual December Awards Banquet will be a potluck dinner buffet at the Austin Area Garden Center. The date is Thursday, December 9 from (roughly) 6:30 to 9:30 pm. Scholarship recipients that are able to attend will be introduced, club members that have served above and beyond the call of duty will be given awards, and our new officers will be installed. The only charge for admission is for you to bring a covered dish that will serve six to eight people. A vegetable dish, salad, or dessert would be great. The club will provide meat, rolls, plates, silverware, drinks, etc. In order to buy an adequate supply of meat, and set enough tables, we will need to know whether you are coming or not so we will be asking for that information at the November meeting. If you don’t attend the meeting you will probably receive a telephone call. The Board of Directors hopes that all of our membership will come out to honor the awardees and the new officers.

We will need help in decorating the tables, cleaning up afterwards and helping out in other ways. You can expect a clipboard to be passed around at the November meeting asking for volunteers.
