Going, Going, Gone

GOING, GOING, GONE

Our annual auction again proved to be a great success. Not only did auctioneer Barry Lovelace move the sales along at a brisk pace, but he managed to punctuate the event with good humor and lighthearted jabs. We had a fantastic array of plants that resulted in a a total of $547 in winning bids. The accompanying silent auction, which offered everything from books to booze, collected $658 in winning bids. Thus, our eager and generous bidders contributed a total of $1205 to our club treasury according to our treasurer, Annie Hackebeil.

If you didn’t attend the meeting because you didn’t want to buy anything, don’t let that stop you next year. A good time was had by all, even those that didn’t make successful bids.
