Snow is rare, however 6 inches fell in a 24-hour period in 1966 and we had about an inch on Valentine’s Day in 2005. On average, precipitation is observed on 8 days during the month.

February 2011 is not your average February. As of February 6 we have already had 5 days with a minimum below 32 degrees with more in the forecast. During the early morning of February 4 we had about one inch of snowfall.
